Costa Rica Digital Nomad Visa Application

travel_exploreNomad Visa Help

The Costa Rica Digital Nomad Visa application is an extremely agile process that allows remote workers to reside in Costa Rica.

The visa grants you the following rights:
(i) an authorization to enter and remain in Costa Rican territory for a duration of 12 months, with the option of an additional 24 months
(ii) being able to open bank accounts
(iii) the right to have their driver's license recognized as valid for the duration of the extended permit.
(iv) The exemption to NOT PAY ANY INCOME TAX throughout the period of their visa and the exclusion from having to pay social security levies, which can range from 12% to 36% of net income, are further unique tributary benefits that apply to digital nomads.

Digital Nomads must demonstrate a monthly foreign income of at least $3000 (or $4000 for couples) and medical insurance with a US$50K coverage in order to qualify for the perks. It is crucial to emphasize that one of the advantages is that they will have no tax responsibilities in relation to that revenue.
