On October 25th, 2022 the Directorate General of Immigration officially launched the Second Home Visa rules and document requirements which is a New Investor Visa for Indonesia. 


What is the purpose of the Second Home Visa for Indonesia?

The Second Home Visa for Indonesia is a non-tax incentive that can encourage some foreigners to stay in the country and make a positive contribution to the Indonesian economy in increasingly dynamic global economic conditions. The government also wants to attract foreign tourists and investors to Bali and other areas.


Where is the Second Home Visa for Indonesia stated?

The policy is set out in the Circular Number IMI-0740.GR.01.01 of 2022 relating to the issue of visas and limited residence permits for second homes, issued on Tuesday 25 October 2022.


How long can I stay with the Second Home Visa for Indonesia?

Foreigners can stay for 5 or 10 years and carry out investment and other economical activities. 


How can I apply for the Second Home Visa for Indonesia?

The applications for the Second Home Visa can be done through visa-online.imigration.go.id


What documents are required to apply for the Second Home Visa for Indonesia?

1. National passport still valid for at least 36 thirty-six months.

2. Proof of the fund in the form of an account owned by a foreigner or Guarantor with a value of at least Rp. 2,000,000,000,000.00 (two billion rupees) or equivalent.

3. Recent color photograph of 4 cm x 6 cm (four centimeters by six centimeters) with a white background 

4. Curriculum vitae.


How much is the fee for the Second Home Visa for Indonesia?

The Government Tax Free Income Rate for Second Residence Visas is 3,000,000 Indonesian Rupiahs or around 192 USD. The Payment of PNBP fees for second residence visas can be made outside the sovereign territory of Indonesia through the available PNBP payment portal.
