The bonafide yours and the sponsoring company should be satisfied.

The sponsoring company should be a well-established company, capable of providing the proposed training.

You must obtain a contract with the sponsoring company.

The sponsoring company guarantees in writing, about fulfilling the maintenance and repatriation of your stay and that you will receive training in the sponsor's premises until the end of the agreed period, after which you will return to your place of residence.

The proposed duration and content of the training programme should be justified.

Photocopy of proof of academic qualifications and relevant work experience, or proof of good technical skills in specialty areas, proven professional abilities and/or relevant experience and achievements (if applicable).

Photocopy of the quota allotment letter issued by the Innovation and Technology Commission.

Photocopy of the employing company/institute’s employment contract with or letter of appointment to the applicant.

Photocopy of the Business Registration Certificate (if applicable).

Additional documents may be required, details to be checked with the employer directly.

There is no security objection and no known record of serious crime in respect of the applicant.

The applicant is employed as a full-time employee in the HKSAR by the employing company/institute.

The applicant is engaged principally in conducting R&D in the areas of biotechnology, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, robotics, data analytics, financial technologies or material science.

The applicant is a degree-holder in science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM) from a well-recognised university, which is among the top 100 universities for STEM-related subjects. For the STEM table, please check the link.

Work experience is not compulsory for those with a Master’s or Doctoral degree, whereas those with a Bachelor’s degree only should possess a minimum of one year of work experience in the relevant technology area.

The applicant is offered remuneration not lower than the prevailing market level for comparable jobs in the HKSAR.

The applicant meets the specific particulars pertaining to the job position set out in the quota allotment letter issued by ITC.

The bona fides of the employing company/institute and the applicant are not in doubt.

Applicant must hold a valid travel document.

Application form filled and signed (ID 1001A & 1001B).

Four original copies of the standard employment contract (LD 294) signed between the employer and the imported worker.

Photocopy of the approval-in-principle letter issued by the Labour Department.

The applicant is suitably qualified and experienced for the job in question.

The terms and conditions of employment are comparable to those in the local market.

The applicant will remain under the direct employment of the employer for a specific job and will not be contracted out to other companies or sub-contractors.

There is no adverse record to the detriment of the applicant and the employer.

The employer is financially capable of employing the applicant, providing him/her with suitable accommodation and of guaranteeing his/her maintenance and repatriation upon the termination of his/her contract.

The applicant must hold a valid travel document and must declare to return to the home country if the contract is ended/not extended.

The applicant should be of clear criminal record and raise no security or criminal concerns to the HKSAR.
