Details

As Malta is a member of the European Union (EU), companies registered in Malta are subject to the same maintenance fees as other EU countries. Annual fees required to do business in Malta are a registration fee, an annual return fee and the Maltese corporate tax.

1. The registration fee is €350 and must be paid to the company registrar. This tax is payable when the company first registers in Malta and annually thereafter on the date of registration.
2. The annual return fee is €100 and must be paid to the company registrar. This bonus is paid annually on the company's record day.
3. Annual reports must be submitted to the Registrar within 42 days of this date.
4. Maltese corporate tax is €200 and must be paid to the tax authorities. This fee is payable on January 1 of each year.
