No. The Premium Visa is a long-term tourist visa. You remain a tax resident in your home country whilst being in Mauritius.
The Authorities may ask for further documents to clarify some situations. For instance: a police clearance if there is any serious doubt on offences potentially done by the applicant.
The collection of documents might take up to 1 month. The Authorities process the application variably within 2 weeks to 8 weeks. We usually recommend to start procedures 2-3 months before arrival in Mauritius.
