  • If you have been admitted to a higher educational programme in Greenland, you can be granted a permit to stay and study in Greenland.
  • You can either complete a full educational programme or do part of your education as a guest or exchange student.
  • You can also be granted a residence permit to complete a preparatory course for a higher educational programme.

Which documents do I need to apply for the Student Visa - Higher Education?

  • Copy of all pages of your passport – including all empty pages and the passport’s front and back cover.
  • Documentation that your are enrolled in an educational institution in your home country (if you are a guest or exchange student).
  • Documentation that you can support yourself during your stay in Greenland.
  • If you are under 18 years old you must attach a concent form from your parents, and a declaration from your educational institution stating they will ensure you a justifiable stay in Greenland.
  • You and your educational institution are each required to complete a part of the "Application Form".
