What are eligibility requirements for the Working Holiday Visa?

8 Eligibility Requirements

  • Applicant must be aged between 18 and 30 years old, both ages inclusive, at the time of application.
  • Applicant must not be accompanied by people who depend on it.
  • Applicant must possess a valid passport , valid for more than 12 months.
  • Applicant must possess an air ticket with return date or sufficient financial resources to purchase the aforementioned return ticket.
  • Applicant must have economic solvency to cover their living expenses during their stay in the Portuguese Republic.
  • Applicant must present a valid medical insurance during the entire stay that covers health expenses, hospitalization and repatriation, with the extension of coverage required by the domestic law in force in the Portuguese Republic.
  • Applicant must fulfill all health requirements to enter the territory of the Portuguese Republic.
  • Applicant must not have a criminal record.
