What are eligibility requirements for the Business Talent History PR Visa?

10 Eligibility Requirements

  • You must send an Expression of Interest (EOI), before applying for this visa.
  • You must be nominated and invited by the Australian state or territory government to apply for this visa.
  • Your net business and personal assets must be at least AUD 1.5 million.
  • Your total net assets must be at least AUD 400,000 from the ownership interest in one or more qualifying businesses, gained over at least 2 of the 4 fiscal years immediately before you were invited to apply for this visa.
  • For at least 2 of the 4 fiscal years before you were invited to apply, you must have an ownership interest in one or more qualifying businesses in which your net value was at least AUD 400,000.
  • Your total annual turnover must be at least AUD 3.0 million from at least 1 business and no more than 2 businesses, for at least 2 of the 4 fiscal years immediately before you were invited to apply for this visa.
  • You and any family member, who apply for the visa, must meet Australian's health and character requirement.

  • If you are 18 years of age or older, you must have functional English. If you can't show us that you or any dependent applicant 18 years or older has functional English, you can pay the second instalment of the visa application charge. You do not need to pay this fee until we ask you to do so.
  • If you owe the Australian Government money, you must have paid it back or have a formal arrangement to pay it back. You should not have had a visa cancelled or a previous application refused.

Which documents do I need to apply for the Business Talent History PR Visa?

13 Document Required

  • Copy of Passport biopage.
  • Identity documents or change of name proofs like marriage certificate (if applicable).
  • 1-page summary of your current business and investment activities in Australia and 1-page summary of your Australian business and investment intentions in the long-term.
  • Provide evidence of your net business and personal assets and your ownership of each asset or any liabilities against each asset (such as mortgages, credit cards and loans) like tile deeds, bank statements, etc.
  • Evidence of nomination by a state or territory government agency.
  • Evidence of your business career and your intentions in Australia like detailed business plan, evidence of total annual turnover of at least AUD 3.0 million, involvement history in the businesses, etc. (as applicable).
  • Character documents: Australian Police, overseas police certificate from every country where you have spent 12 months in the last 10 years, military service records (if served), Form 80 Personal particulars for assessment including character assessment and Form 1221 Additional personal particulars information.
  • Nominations forms, in case you are getting some help from someone or agency in the entire process of this visa.
  • Provide identity, character and financial documents of your partner (if applicable).
  • Evidence that everyone included in your application has adequate health insurance in Australia. Provide any one of, a signed letter from a health insurance provider, a Medicare card or receipt of enrolment with Medicare, evidence of adequate health insurance (including travel insurance), etc.
  • Sign the Australian values statement.
  • Have paid back your debt.
  • Not have a visa cancelled.
