  • Applicant must bring enough money to settle.

Which documents do I need to apply for the Canadian Startup Visa?

17 Document Required

  • Generic Application Form to Canada (IMM 0008).
  • Additional Dependants/Declaration (IMM 0008DEP) (if applicable).
  • Schedule A: Background/Declaration (IMM 5669).
  • Supplementary Information - Your Travels (IMM 5562) .
  • Schedule 13 - Business Immigration Programs - Start Up Business Class (IMM 0008 - Schedule 13).
  • Additional Family Information (IMM 5406).
  • Use of a Representative (IMM 5476) .
  • Travel documents and passports : Copy of the pages of your valid passport or travel documents for you, your spouse or common-law partner and your dependent children, showing: the passport number; date of issue and expiry; the photo, name, date and place of birth, pages showing any amendments in name, date of birth, expiration, etc.
  • Proof of language proficiency (Original).
  • Applicant must provide a Letter of Support with your application. The Letter of Support will be given to you by the designed entity which is investing in your business proposal (Original).
  • Identity and Civil Documents: Applicant must provide the documents for you and your spouse or common-law partner: Birth certificates; Marriage certificate(s), final divorce or annulment certificate(s). Death certificate for former spouse(s) or common-law partner(s), etc.
  • Children's Information (if applicable) - Children's birth certificates (which name their parents), Adoption papers, Proof of full custody for children.
  • Police Certificates and Clearances.
  • 2 photos for each member of your family, whether accompanying or not, and yourself.
  • Fee Payment in an acceptable format.
  • Settlement Funds (current bank certification letter or evidence of savings balance; or fixed or time deposit statements).
  • Gather all supporting documents and information in the order identified in the Document Checklist.
