Permanent Residence status is an immigration status in the Islands that allows the person named on a Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC) to reside without restrictions, throughout life. This can be obtained by a Business Investment. The options available are:

(a) Minimum investment of $750,000 in a business or enterprise in the island of Grand Turk, Salt Cay, South Caicos, Middle Caicos or North Caicos and the business generates employment in the Islands 'and' not less than 60% of the employees are non-work permit holders; or,

(b) Minimum investment of $1,500,000 in a business or enterprise in the islands other than the island of Grand Turk, Salt Cay, South Caicos, Middle Caicos or North Caicos 'and' the business generates employment in the Islands and not less than 60% of the employees are non-work permit holders.

What are eligibility requirements for the Business Investment Residency Program?

  • You must have good character and be in good health.
  • You must have an Undertaking from the Governor.
  • You must pay PRC application fee.
  • You must have invested a minimum of 750,000 USD in a business or enterprise in the island of Grand Turk, Salt Cay, South Caicos, Middle Caicos or North Caicos and the business generates employment in the Islands and not less than 60% of the employees are non-work permit holders; or,
  • You must have invested a minimum of 1,500,000 USD in a business or enterprise in the islands other than the island of Grand Turk, Salt Cay, South Caicos, Middle Caicos or North Caicos AND the business generates employment in the Islands and not less than 60% of the employees are non-work permit holders.

Which documents do I need to apply for the Business Investment Residency Program?

9 Document Required

  • Police Certificate issued in the last 6 months.
  • 2 character reference letters.
  • Medical certificate issued in the last 6 months.
  • Certificate of Undertaking issued by the Governor.
  • Business License.
  • Proof of ownership of the business.
  • Audited Accounts for the Business or an Unaudited Accounts Confirmed by a Certified Public Accountant showing how much was invested in the business.
  • Staff Register list indicating immigration status of each employee.
  • Filled and signed PRC application form.
