All foreigners who want to study in Aruba will need a temporary residence permit. With this residence permit, you can study in Aruba and gain work experience (as a trainee). You do not have permission to work (paid work). Please be advised: If you would like to stay in Aruba after finishing your study, your application will be handled as an administrative first-time application.


Note that authorizations for the Aruba student visa will be issued by DIMAS (Departamento di Integracion, Maneho y Admision di Stranhero)


The processing time for study visa may take from 4-6 weeks from the application day.

You can bring spouse and kids with you.

The passport remains at the Embassy / Consulate during the entire process of visa proceeding

The general application process are ;

  1. Find a course in an approved educational institution of Aruba

  2. Contact the university and initiate your application process.

  3. Find out the requirements from the university to get the acceptance/admission letter.

  4. Get the acceptance/admission letter from the university in Aruba

  5. Prepare your visa application and gather other required documents for it.

  6. Apply for student visa and prepare to move to Aruba

Note: Students are not allowed to work while in school, without a work permit and recommendations from their educational institution and references

  • You must have a passport/travel document valid for at least 6 months.
  • You need sufficient funds to cover your studies or a scholarship which confirms the payment of the tuition fees.
  • You must to be accepted/enrolled in a course of an approved university/college in Aruba.
  • You should be of good character and health.
  • You need to have details of accommodation at your destination.
  • You may require valid travel insurance covering the entire period of stay.
  • Copies of flight tickets (as applicable).
  • Additional requirements might be present. Please check with your University/College for details.
