Foreign students who wish to study and reside in Belarus can apply for a Student Long Term Visa, which is valid for 90 days. Within that period the student need to apply for a temporary resident permit.

The processing time for study visa may take from 6-12 weeks from the application day.

You can bring spouse and kids with you.

The general application process are :

Find a course in an approved educational institution of Belarus
Contact the university and initiate your application process.
Find out the requirements from the university in Belarus to get the acceptance/admission letter.
Get the acceptance/admission letter from the university in Belarus
Prepare your visa application and gather other required documents for it.
Apply for student visa and prepare to move to Belarus

Note: According to Belarusian law, foreign students are not allowed to work during studies.

What are eligibility requirements for the Student Long Term Visa ?

7 Eligibility Requirements

You must have a valid passport with blank pages and less than ten years validity.
Visa application form, completed and signed.
You must obtain original of a letter of invitation from an Educational establishment or academic institution in the Republic of Belarus.
You must have educational documents (Authenticated by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry Foreign Affairs in the country of origin).
You must be of good health.
In case of minors, parent's authorization is required.
You must have a travel medical insurance of at least 10,000 Euros.

Which documents do I need to apply for the Student Long Term Visa ?

9 Document Required

Visa application form, completed and signed.
One photograph size 35x45 mm (6 months older photos not accepted).
Valid passport or travel document copies, with has at least two blank pages intended for visas.
Original invitation Letter for the University from the Ministry of Education in Belarus.
Copies of Educational Documents (as applicable).
Birth Certificate, in case of minors.
Medical insurance copy or confirmation letter on medical insurance issued by the insurance company.
Document confirming the payment of the visa fee.
A document certifying the loss of the USSR or Belarusian citizenship must be submitted to the Embassy, if the applicant previously had USSR or Belarusian citizenship.
