You may apply for a temporary residency (INVESTOR) visa, if you have sufficient means of subsistence and invests minimum of Amount (70) wages. USD 26,250 in Ecuador . Investment can be made into Real estate, Business, Shares or Participation in an Ecuadorian company .

The temporary residency visa is granted for a two years’ period, with the possibility of a single renewal for two more years. As long as the holder is not absent from the country more than 90 days per year cumulative within the period of residence. After the third year of residency, a foreign national may apply for citizenship or permanent residency.

Which documents do I need to apply for the Temporary Residence Visa - Investor?

  • Visa application form
  • Original and copies of valid passport
  • Certificate of migratory movement (requirement applicable only within the country)
  • Regular immigration status (requirement applicable only within the country)
  • Certificate of criminal record of the country of origin or of the places where you have resided for the last 5 years –apostilled or legalized
  • Title, policy or certificate of deposit in recognized entities. Term 730 days. Amount (70) Minimum wages. USD 26,250 .; or,
  • Deed of purchase - sale, registered in the register of the property of the respective county. Amount of (80) Basic Unified Salaries. 30,000 USD. ; or,
  • Deed of purchase - sale of shares or participation in an Ecuadorian company. Amount (70) Minimum wages. 26,250 USD. Registered in Superintendence of Company, Securities and insurance; or,
  • Minute, certificate or deed that show the capital invested in a business of your own. Amount (70) Minimum wages. 26,250 USD.
