A working holiday visa is a residence permit allowing you to undertake employment and holiday (and sometimes study) in Estonia, For many young people, holding a working holiday visa enables you to experience living in Estonia without undergoing the usual costly expenses of finding work sponsorship in advance or going on expensive university exchange programmes.


You need to:

  • have enough money to pay for a return ticket, and

  • be coming mainly on holiday, with work being a secondary intention.

What are eligibility requirements for the Estonia Working Holiday Visa?

9 Eligibility Requirements

  • Applicant must be an Australian citizen, between the ages of 18 and 30 inclusive.
  • Applicant must have the primary intention to enjoy a holiday in Estonia, with employment being an incidental rather than a primary reason for the visit
  • Applicant must not be accompanied by dependents
  • Applicant must hold a valid passport and return ticket or sufficient means to purchase a return ticket.
  • Applicant must have sufficient means to support himself in the initial period of stay in Estonia.
  • Applicant must have comprehensive health insurance in Estonia
  • Applicant must be of good character
  • Applicant must be in good health
  • Applicant must pay the visa fee

Which documents do I need to apply for the Estonia Working Holiday Visa?

7 Document Required

  • Visa Application form, completed and signed
  • One recent passport size photograph
  • Copies of valid passport (like the bio page, past visas, etc)
  • Copies of flight ticket (incl. return ticket, or proof of sufficient funds to purchase such ticket)
  • Copies of travel health insurance
  • Proof of sufficient means of subsistence, eg. bank statements
  • Receipt of visa fee payment
