If you wish to work and reside in Finland for more than 6 months. You need a long-term work visa (Type-D).

  • You need a passport/travel document valid for at least 3 months and contains two blank pages
  • You need a job offer from an employer in Finland
  • You need a travel insurance policy for Finland or Schengen area with a coverage of at least 30.000 EUR for the entire duration of stay
  • You should be of good character and health
  • You need sufficient funds to cover your stay
  • You must possess the required skill/experience demanded by the job offered

  • A fully completed and signed application form
  • Copies of valid travel document
  • A passport photo (size 35x45 mm)
  • Copies of valid travel Insurance document
  • Copies of job offer letter from an employer
  • Character and health certificate (as applicable)
  • Documents proving the sufficient means of subsistence
  • Visa fee payment receipt
