A working holiday visa is a residence permit allowing you to undertake employment and holiday (and sometimes study) in Greece, For many young people, holding a working holiday visa enables you to experience living in Greece without undergoing the usual costly expenses of finding work sponsorship in advance or going on expensive university exchange programmes.

You need to:

  • have enough money to pay for a return ticket, and

  • be coming mainly on holiday, with work being a secondary intention.

What are eligibility requirements for the Greece Working Holiday Visa?

10 Eligibility Requirements

  • Applicant must be between the age of 18 and 35
  • Applicant must be a Canadian citizen
  • Applicant must hold Canadian passport which must be valid, contains at least two blank pages and must be issued within the previous 10 years.
  • Applicant must have departure ticket or sufficient funds to purchase such a ticket
  • Applicant must have enough funds for maintenance during the period of initial stay in Greece
  • Applicant must pay the visa fee
  • Applicant must be of good character
  • Applicant must be of good health
  • Applicant must must have comprehensive health insurance in Greece
  • Applicant must not be accompanied by children and family members

Which documents do I need to apply for the Greece Working Holiday Visa?

9 Document Required

  • Copies of valid passport (like the bio page, past visas, etc)
  • Copies of departure ticket or sufficient financial resources cost of their departure
  • Proof of sufficient means of subsistence, eg. bank statements
  • Copies of clear criminal record
  • Copies of medical fitness certificate
  • Copies of valid travel health insurance
  • Visa application form, completed and signed
  • Two recent passport sized colour photos
  • Receipt of visa fee payment
