The Immigration and Social Integration Code (Law 4251/2014, Government Gazette 1, no 80) contains provisions that facilitate the stay of third-country investors, whose investments are characterized as strategic investments, via the provision of extended stay time limits for the representatives of investment bodies and their partners.

Strategic Investments shall be construed as those productive investments which relate specifically to the construction, reconstruction, expansion, restructuring, modernization or maintenance of existing infrastructure, facilities and networks:

a. in manufacturing

b. in the energy sector

c. in tourism

d. in transport and communications

e. in the provision of health services

f. in waste management

g. in projects of high-end technology and innovation

h. in the education sector

i. in the culture sector

j. in the primary sector and the processing of agri-foodstuff

k. in the provision of services of the tertiary sector in general

Application Process:

Step 1: The private investor shall initially send through the specially designed web page of Enterprise Greece, an electronic request to arrange a meeting. The investor’s request shall, as a prerequisite, be accompanied by the required files.

Step 2: On the day of the meeting for the final submission, the investor shall submit three copies inclusion application and investment plan, both in hard copy and electronic format.

What are eligibility requirements for the Greece Investor Visa?

6 Eligibility Requirements

  • The total investment cost exceeds €100,000,000, irrespective of the investment sector.
  • Or, the total cost of the investment exceeds 15 million Euro, for investments in the industry sector in currently operating industrial zones or 3 million euros for investments that are approved projects within the JESSICA fund context.
  • Or, the total cost of the investment is over 40 million euros and concurrently creates at least 120 new employment positions.
  • At least 150 new employment positions are created from the investment in a viable manner or at least 600 jobs are retained.
  • Or, the investment cost exceeds 5 million euros for the development of business parks.
  • Applicant must have an investment plan.

Which documents do I need to apply for the Greece Investor Visa?

9 Document Required

  • Documentation that the investment meets the criteria of Article 1 of Greek Law 3894/2010.
  • Three copies of Investment plan both in hard copy and electronic format.
  • Comprehensive business plan proposed for inclusion. The business plan shall include, inter alias, information and other data.
  • Assistance requested by the Greek Public Sector, according to Greek Law 3894/2010.
  • Certificates of ownership of fixed assets or leasing or cooperation contracts with the owner of the fixed asset (e.g. land, patent, etc.).
  • Copies of documentation regarding the licensing of the investment (previous licensing attempts, correspondence with Ministers, State agencies and authorities, summary of the actions taken to date).
  • Valid passport or other travel document that is recognized by Greece.
  • Medical certificate proving that you have no contiguous disease, which may endanger public health.
  • Proof of travel insurance.
