Foreigners need to apply for a limited stay permit (VITAS) followed by a work stay permit (ITAS KERJA) to carry on with employment in Indonesia.

Application Procedure:

  • Submit the visa application at the Indonesian consulate, with RPTKA & TA-01 Recommendation.
  • Get the fee payment done and attend the interview.
  • The limited stay permit (VITAS) will be issued on basis of the notification from IMTA along with the issue of online ITAS (Work stay permit).
  • The validity of your VITAS will adjust to the maximum duration of stay granted for your position.

Note: The following countries will require a calling visa (prior approval for ITAS KERJA) - Afghanistan, Guinea, Israel, North Korea, Cameroon, Liberia, Nigeria, Somalia. Please contact the consulate of your home country for more details.

  • You must have a valid passport.
  • You must possess the education related to the job offered in Indonesia.
  • You must have an employment contract from employer in Indonesia.
  • You must have at least 5 years of experience in the related field or a certificate of competence.
  • You must have a valid health insurance to cover your stay in Indonesia.

  • Copy of passport bio page.
  • Application form, filled and signed.
  • Educational certificates (like diploma).
  • CV and reference letter from previous employers.
  • Copy of employment contract.
  • Experience certificate or Certificate of Competence.
  • Receipt of payment of VITAS and DKP-TKA.
  • Additional documents may be required depending on the profession.
