What are eligibility requirements for the Italy Working Holiday Visa?

9 Eligibility Requirements

  • Applicant must be a Canadian citizen resident in Canada
  • Applicant must have primary intention to holiday in the Italian Republic, with employment being an incidental rather than a primary reason for the visit
  • Applicant must be aged between 18 and 35 years inclusive at the time of application
  • Applicant must not be accompanied by children
  • Applicant must be the holder of a valid Canadian passport
  • Applicant must hold a return ticket or have additional sufficient funds to purchase such a ticket
  • Applicant must have sufficient funds for maintenance for the initial period of stay in Italy
  • Applicant must pay the visa application fee
  • Applicant must have comprehensive health insurance in Italy

Which documents do I need to apply for the Italy Working Holiday Visa?

8 Document Required

  • Visa application form, completed and signed
  • Copies of valid travel insurance
  • Copies of proof of sufficient funds e.g. bank statement etc
  • Copies of flight tickets or proof of sufficient funds to purchase such a ticket
  • Copies of valid passport (like the bio page, past visas, etc)
  • Recent passport size photograph
  • Self addressed courier envelope for the safe return of the passport
  • Visa fee payment receipt
