  • Applicant must be enrolled in educational institute in Italy.
  • Applicant must have valid passport.
  • Applicant must pay enrollment fee.
  • Applicant must have travel medical insurance.
  • Applicant must have sufficient means of subsistence.
  • Applicant must have clean criminal record.

Which documents do I need to apply for the Study Permit - Postgraduate?

8 Document Required

  • Application Form (completed visa application signed by the applicant, applications of minors should be signed by both parents).
  • 2 recent passport size coloured photographs (full face on white background, one photo attached to application).
  • Current Passport: Passport shall contain two blank pages - current passport shall be valid for a period of 90 days beyond the date of return.
  • Covering Letter – self addressed by the applicant explaining the purpose of stay and travel plan.
  • Proof that the applicant has sufficient means of subsistence of no less than 448.52 EUR for each month of the academic year. This can be proven in one of the following ways: evidence of personal or financial resources; economic guarantees provided by Italian institutions and bodies of established credit, by local Governments, or by foreign institutions and bodies considered to be reliable by the Italian diplomatic mission.
  • Health insurance, if the foreign national is not entitled to health care in Italy by virtue of agreements or conventions in force with their country.
  • Enrolment in postgraduate courses (master's degrees, doctorates, specialisations, training programmes) at Italian Universities, public or private, authorised to award qualifications having legal value.
  • The Embassy reserves the right to request further documentation at the interview if and when required - All documents should be provided in original accompanied with a set of photocopies in A4 size.
