7 Eligibility Requirements

You must have the specialized business knowledge to run the business in Japan.
You must invest more 5 million yen as initial investment or hire 2 employees (Japanese nationals or foreign nationals with relevant visa status).
You must have a detailed business plan.
You must obtain the Certificate of Eligibility (COE) from the Immigration Bureau.
You must have proof of funds to sustain your stay in Japan.
The office space (physical office) for the business shall be found in Japan. Virtual office is not applicable.
Additional requirements may be present on case basis.

Which documents do I need to apply for the Business Investor Visa?

Copy of passport biopage.
Visa application form, completed and signed.
One photograph.
Certificate of Eligibility.
Evidence regarding the business entity like Registration certificate, photos of the nameplate, mailbox, and others to certify the existence of the office space.
Business plan and other evidence regarding the enterprise where investment is to be made (as applicable).
