About

If you wish to work in the Netherlands you need a residence permit for this: a single permit (GVVA), or a separate residence permit and work permit (TWV). There are various residence permits for working in the Netherlands. The type of residence permit, you can apply, depends on the job you find in the Netherlands.

In order to travel to the Netherlands, you need a [temporary residence permit] (mvv). The mvv is a sticker that the Dutch representation places on your passport. If you do not need an MVV, your employer will then apply for a combined permit for residence and work (vergunning voor verblijf en arbeid or GVVA) in your name, which combines the Dutch residence and work permit in one application via the IND(Immigration and Naturalisation Service).

Processing time for this visa is 90 Days.

You can bring your spouse and kids with you.

The general application process is :

  1. Get the employment letter or Work contract from the employer in the Netherlands.

  2. Prepare your visa application and gather other required documents for it.

  3. Apply for a Work visa and prepare to move to the Netherlands.
