  • To be accepted for a course at an education institute approved by the Ministry of Education or the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA)
  • Applicant must show money for tuition fees or proof that to have a scholarship that pays tuition fees
  • Applicant must have enough money to live in NZ
  • Applicant must have a ticket out of NZ or evidence of enough money to buy one
  • Applicant must be of good character and health
  • You may require valid travel insurance covering the entire period of stay

Which documents do I need to apply for the Student Visa NZ?

9 Document Required

  • Completed, signed application form.
  • Proof of Appropriate fee and immigration levy.
  • Two passport-size colour photographs.
  • Copies of valid passport (including the bio page, past visas, etc)
  • Medical or chest X-ray certificates if applicable
  • Copies Police certificates or good character certificate
  • A Confirmation letter of Enrollment if you are a student returning to the same provider and studying the same programme.
  • Evidence of offered place(s) from an approved New Zealand education provider(s)
  • Document proof of financial means/scholarship to cover the studies
