What are eligibility requirements for the Peruvian Work Visa?

7 Eligibility Requirements

  • You must have a work contract with a Peruvian company, approved by the administrative labor authority, for at least 12 months.
  • The RUC file of the contracting company must be in ACTIVE and HABIDO status.
  • The presentation of the contract must be no older than 30 days, if approved by the labor authority.
  • If the contract was signed abroad, it must be legalized by the Peruvian Consulate and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or Apostille.
  • In the case of a contract signed in Peru, you must meet the qualifying migratory status or have special permission to sign contracts.
  • You must have a valid passport.
  • Additional requirements may be present on case basis.

Which documents do I need to apply for the Peruvian Work Visa?

11 Document Required

  • Application form F-004 (printed out when making the appointment).
  • Payment receipt from Banco de la Nación by processing right.
  • Receipt from the Banco de la Nacion for paid application fee for changing to a resident visa.
  • Passport and copy of the pages with the personal information and entry stamp.
  • Legally signed and approved by Labor Ministry work contract with a duration of at least 12 months.
  • SUNAT (Peruvian tax authority) registration including RUC (Peruvian tax number) showing the employing company is active.
  • Company registration of the employing company showing the legal representative.
  • Interpol clearance - Ficha de canje internacional (if applicable).
  • Appointment confirmation.
  • Power of Attorney, notarized, in case third person is carrying out the process on your behalf.
  • Additional documents might be required on case basis.
