If you wish to work and reside in Romania for an extended period, you need to apply for a longer-term Work visa (D-Visa).

  • You need a passport valid for at least three months after the estimated day of exit from Romania
  • You need a job offer from an employer in Romania
  • You need a travel medical insurance for the validity period of the visa
  • You must be of good character
  • You need sufficient funds to cover initial stay period in Romania

Which documents do I need to apply for the Work Visa - D Visa?

7 Document Required

  • Visa application form, appropriately filled in and signed
  • Copy of the employment permit issued in accordance with the legislation in force regarding the employment
  • 2 recent colour photos, size 3 x 4 cm
  • Copies of valid passport (like the bio page, past visas, etc)
  • Proof of clean criminal record, or any other document bearing the same legal value, issued by the authorities in the state of domicile or residence, bearing an apostle or extra-legalisation, as the case may be.
  • Proof of sufficient means of subsistence in the amount of EUR 50/day for the entire period, but not less than EUR 500 or the equivalent in convertible currency
  • Copies of travel medical insurance in amount of at least EUR 30,000
