About

A working holiday visa is a residence permit allowing eligible students and young graduates to work and holiday in Singapore for 6 months. For many young people, holding a working holiday visa enables you to experience living in Singapore without undergoing the usual costly expenses of finding work sponsorship in advance or going on expensive university exchange programmes.


You need to:

  • have enough money to pay for a return ticket, and

  • be coming mainly on holiday, with work being a secondary intention.

  • Applicant must be aged between 18 to 25
  • Applicant must have been a resident and a full-time student of the university for at least 3 months before applying for the pass
  • or, applicant was a resident and a full-time student of the university
  • Applicant must be of good character

Which documents do I need to apply for the Singapore Work Holiday Visa ?

  • Copies of valid passport (like the bio page, past visas, etc)
  • A copy of your degree certificate and transcripts (For Graduates)
  • A letter from your university stating your matriculation, name, nationality and date of birth (For Undergraduates)
  • A copy of your university student card (For Undergraduates)
  • A copy of your student visa (if you are an international student at the university) (For Undergraduates)
  • Copies of proof of sufficient funds e.g bank statement etc
  • You may be asked for additional documents depending case by case
