Slovakia Temporary residence - Business Visa

If you are planning to do business in Slovakia may be granted a temporary residence (provided that he/she meets the relevant legal conditions and based on a submitted application).

The application is usually submitted abroad at a Slovak diplomatic mission accredited to the country of the applicant´s citizenship or the country of the applicant's residence. The Slovak diplomatic mission that accepted the application will interview the applicant for the purpose of preliminary assessment of the application. If a foreign national resides in Slovakia legally, the application may be submitted at the competent Foreign Police Department according to the place of his/her residence, which is not applicable in case:

• of a person who was granted tolerated residence, as his/her departure is not possible and his/her detention is inefficient;
• of asylum seekers.

Temporary residence allows you to stay legally in Slovakia and to travel abroad and back during the period for which the residence was granted.
