A foreign student who plans to engage in a specific research at a college, undergraduate/graduate college established in accordance with the Higher Education Act, or a college established in accordance with the Special, Act can apply Korea Research Study Visa (D-2-5)

You need an invitation or enrollment from educational institute
You need sufficient funds to cover stay period
You need relevant education
You need valid travel insurance

Which documents do I need to apply for the Korea Research Study Visa?

8 Document Required

Visa Application Form (Form No. 17)
A photo in a standard format
Copies of valid passport
A copy of Business Registration Certificate (or Registration Number Certificate) of a respective education institute
Documents proving your engagement in the research activities
Original copy of document indicating the final level of education (for those who earned master’s degree or higher)
Original copy of document proving your financial ability to support yourself (i.e. bank statement, a receipt of research allowance)
The head of Korean diplomatic missions abroad may request for additional documents depending on the condition of the country of residence/jurisdiction if it is deemed necessary for visa evaluation.
