If you are a non-EU/non-Swiss citizen and plan to work for a period longer than three months to start up or run your own business or become a part owner of a company, you must have a residence permit.
When you have had a residence permit for two years you may be granted a permanent residence permit, provided that you are able to support yourself using the income from your business, adhering to the principles and holding the required permits. You must also have been a resident in Sweden for more than six months of each year.
Application Process
NOTE: If you have applied for asylum, have received a temporary residence permit, and are able to support yourself, then you can receive a permanent residence permit in some cases. Know more on this by checking this link.
