A working holiday visa is a residence permit allowing you to undertake employment and holiday (and sometimes study) in Sweden, For many young people, holding a working holiday visa enables you to experience living in Sweden without undergoing the usual costly expenses of finding work sponsorship in advance or going on expensive university exchange programmes.

  • You must be a Canadian citizen.
  • You must be 18-30 years old (inclusive).
  • You must have a valid Canadian pasport.
  • You must hold a return ticket or sufficient financial resources to cover its costs.
  • You must have sufficient financial resources (SEK 15,000) to cover expenses for duration of the stay.
  • You must have adequate health insurance in Sweden.
