The Smart-S visa is for entrepreneurs who want to work on innovative technology FOR Thailand.

You can bring 2-3 people for this visa to be part of your team.
You will receive a 2-year stamp, which can be renewed indefinitely as long as you continue to work on your idea.
You will also get a multiple entry permit.
You can apply for the Smart S visa outside of Thailand and collect it from an overseas embassy. It is one of the few visas that expire 100% online.

What are eligibility requirements for the Smart S - Startup Setup?

2 Eligibility Requirements

Having a plan to set up a tech startup in Thailand, which must be endorsed by relevant agencies such as the National Innovation Agency (Public Organization) or being engaged in an activity aimed to promote startups, or an activity similar to Startup Camp, endorsed by government agencies such as the Board of Investment and National Innovation Agency (Public Organization).
Having health insurance covering the entire period of stay in Thailand.

Which documents do I need to apply for the Smart S - Startup Setup?

8 Document Required

Completed application form of qualification endorsement for smart visa “S”.
Copy of valid passport (first page and all pages with Thai visa stamps).
Medical certificate issued from the country of which the applicant is a national or a permanent resident or where the application is submitted, showing no prohibited diseases (Leprosy, Tuberculosis, drug addiction, Elephantiasis, third phase of Syphilis) as indicated in the Ministerial Regulation No. 14 B.E. 2535 (not more than 3 months old).
Health insurance policy covering entire course of stay in Thailand, with coverage for hospitalization treatment of no less than 500,000 Baht (*Submission of this document can be done separately at a later date before a notification letter is issued).
Pitch deck and business plan required.
Shareholder list (not more than 3 months old) or/and transfer slip.
Evidence of startup promotion activities participation.
A letter of verification issued from the country of his or her nationality or residence stating that the applicant has no criminal record, certificate of incorporation, memorandum of association in Thailand, may be requested on a case-by-case basis.
