Investors who can make an investment in a Peruvian listed company or set up an independent company in Peru with a minimum investment amount of S/500,000 Soles for both operations, can apply for an Independent Investor Visa. The investment should be made through bank transfers/cash.

Note: The initial duration of this visa is 12 months and if you are able to maintain the business with min. 5 employed Peruvians in it, throughout the year,then extension of residency is possible.

What are eligibility requirements for the Independent Investor Visa?

6 Eligibility Requirements

  • You must be able to invest at least S/500,000 Soles (150,485 USD approx.).
  • You must be able to certify your investment and carry it out through bank transfers.
  • You must commit to create at least 5 jobs for Peruvians, within a period not exceeding 1 year.
  • You must be willing to work as a manager or director only and need to respect the tax and working laws.
  • must have the qualifying migratory status or the permission to sign contracts, at the moment of signing the constitution of the company or when acquiring the shares or participation.
  • Additional requirements might be present on case basis.

Which documents do I need to apply for the Independent Investor Visa?

9 Document Required

  • The Application Form F-007, filled and signed.
  • Photocopy and the original version of the travelling document (Passport/Foreigner’s card).
  • Receipt from the Banco de la Nacion (code 01814) for paid application fee.
  • A commitment letter explaining that you will create a minimum of 5 employment positions for Peruvian citizens in less than 1 year of business operations.
  • A Business Feasibility Project for a newly established company or a business plan for an already active company including the creation of 5 employment positions, within a period not exceeding two (02) years. It must be prepared by a professional and duly authorized and certified.
  • Photocopy, either legalized by a notary or authenticated by the Peruvian General Directorate of Immigration and Naturalization (DIGEMIN), of the affidavit of the establishment of the Public Registry in which the interested party has invested the minimum of S/500,000 Soles (150,485 USD approx.) in cash.
  • An International Redemption Card from the International Police (Interpol).
  • Additional documents might be required on case basis.
  • Any document that is in a foreign language must be translated into Spanish by a Chartered Translator or Sworn Public Translator.
