You must be nominated by a state or territory before being invited to apply for this visa.

You must score 65 points or above in skillset submitted in EOI. Please check the link for points table.

Your occupation must be on the relevant list of eligible skilled occupations for the 190 Skilled Nominated visa. More information on the link.

You and your family members must meet the health requirement of Australia, the doctor sends results directly to the Government.

You and your family members must have a clean criminal record.

If you owe the Australian Government money, you must have paid it back or have a formal arrangement to pay it back.

Form 1414 Nomination - Business Skills class, after getting sent by the Territory with the nomination mentioned on it.

1-page summary of your current business and investment activities in Australia and 1-page summary of your Australian business and investment intentions in the long-term.

A written declaration stating you have complied with the laws of the Commonwealth, and of the state or territory where your business is located. Also include details of any time you breached the laws of the Commonwealth, and of the state or territory where your business is located.

Evidence from the Treasury Corporation that you have held your complying investment of min. AUD 5 million for 4 years. If the investment has already matured, the evidence can be written or emailed confirmation from the Treasury Corporation, bank statements confirming repayment of the amount.

Documents proving your residence and duration like ownership of residential property, rental receipts, etc. (if applicable).

You must be a primary holder of Significant Investor stream provisional visa (subclass 188).

You must have held your complying investment under your provisional visa, for at least 4 years, at the time of applying for this visa.

You must have lived in Australia for an average of 40 days per year for the time you have held your provisional visa.

You and your partner must not have been involved in any business or investment activities that are unacceptable in Australia.

You must have a realistic commitment to continuing your business or investment activities in Australia.

If you operated a business in Australia, you and your partner must have followed the Commonwealth laws and laws of the territory where the business is established.

You must fill Form 1414 and send it, to have a current nomination from a state or territory, no need of creating a new Expression of Interest (EOI). Check the link for the entire process.

You should be of good health and meet the health requirement of Australia. Family members not accompanying also might be asked to meet the health requirement.

You and your family members must have no debt to the Australian government.

Certified copies of the biographical pages of the current passports or travel documents.

One recent passport sized photograph (45x35mm).

Evidence of sufficient funds, such as personal bank statements, pay slips, audited accounts, taxation records or credit card limit.

If you are visiting relatives or friends, a letter of invitation from your relative or friend in Australia. If your relative or friend is paying for your visit, evidence that they have the necessary funds.

The business subtype of the Australia visitor visa allows foreign nationals not eligible for the ETA or eVisitor visa a short stay in Australia for professional reasons but not to work or sell goods.

Valid purposes that you most resoect are: Making general business or work enquiries; activities as part of an official government visit; business contract investigations or negotiations; and to attend a trade fair, seminar or conference, as long as the applicant has not been paid by the organisers to attend.

Evidence that you meet the terms and conditions of a bilateral agreement between the Australian Government or a state and territory government and a foreign signatory.

Identity documents like birth certificate, marriage certificate, common law certificate (as applicable).

An overseas police certificate; from every country, including your home country, where you spent a total of 12 months or more in the last 10 years since you turned 16 years old.

Proof of sufficient means of subsistence.

Your stay must have the support of both signatories of the bilateral agreement you are in Australia to work under.

You must be able to support yourself and any dependents.

You must have a genuine intention to stay temporarily in Australia.

You need valid travel insurance covering the entire period of stay.

Completed Form 1000 – Nomination for Distinguished Talent and relevant supporting documents and a statement from the nominator supporting your claims.

Proof of your achievements (in the recent 2 years) in the eligible field, like: relevant qualifications and awards, supporting statements from government, professional, scientific, cultural, sporting or other relevant bodies, including reference from a person or organisation qualified to assess your claims, press releases on your achievements, etc. (as applicable).

A statement detailing your knowledge of opportunities in Australia in your field, information provided by your nominator, letters from organisations or other relevant bodies in Australia that show future employment opportunities or possible business opportunities, etc. to prove your future establishments in Australia.

Functional English test proof else payment of second installment required. (Except passport holders from the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland, the United States, Canada, New Zealand).

Police certificates - produce when notified.

You must be internationally recognized, currently prominent with a record of achievement in: a profession, a sport, the arts, or academia and research.

You must participate in a field which is recognised and accepted in Australia and has a national standing.

Your contribution must be of benefit to the Australian community.

You must be able to find work in your field in Australia, or become independently established in your field in Australia.

You must be nominated by an Australian citizen or permanent resident, eligible New Zealand citizen or an Australian organisation with a national reputation in relation to your area of talent.

Sponsor documents: A sponsor approval letter or receipt for submission of the sponsorship application, your sponsor’s nomination approval letter or receipt for submission of the nomination application – if your sponsor is not an Australian Commonwealth Government agency, a written statement from the sponsor that they will meet the sponsorship obligations for you and all dependent family members included in your application.

If this is a volunteer position, you and your sponsor need to complete the Acknowledgement of unpaid placement forms and these must be submitted at the time of nomination: Form 1283 Acknowledgement of unpaid placement—visa applicant, Form 1284 Acknowledgement of unpaid placement—sponsor.

Proof of adequate health insurance for you and family members covering the entire stay in Australia.

Provide functional English proof to undertake the training programs else unless you are passport holders from the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland, the United States, Canada, New Zealand. 

If you are sponsored by a Australian Commonwealth Government agency, provide a copy of the invitation to participate in the training, else, provide a copy of the nomination approval letter or receipt for submitting the nomination application.

Copies of registrations or licences (if applicable for your training program).

Provide a statement from your sponsor confirming they are satisfied that you are doing the professional development training specified in the application or that you have relevant managerial or other professional skills and work experience to participate in the program (as applicable).

Signed letter on company letterhead from your current manager detailing your current position and duties, including a copy of your CV.

Occupational training required for registration purposes: Letter from the relevant regulatory body for the occupation in Australia or your home country stating the purpose of your training to get your registration or licensing done.

Your sponsor must have nominated you to participate in a program of occupational training unless your sponsor is an Australian Commonwealth Government agency.

You must be 18 years old or older at the time of visa application decision.
