Submit photocopies of All appropriate birth, marriage, divorce, proof of separation, and/or death certificates for yourself and your spouse, National Identity Card/Certificate or Cedula (where applicable).

Submit photocopies of Each child’s birth certificate (which includes the names of his/her parents), Adoption papers, Proof of custody for children under the age of 19.

Submit photocopies of Passports that are valid for at least one year for yourself, your spouse and dependent children.

Submit photocopies of Degrees, diplomas or certificates and transcripts.

Language Proficiency Test Results for both the principal applicant and/or spouse, if applicable

If you have close relatives in Manitoba, submit photocopies of Documents showing relationship such as birth or marriage certificates of the close relative in Canada (showing the names of common parents).

Submit photocopies of Curriculum vitae (or resume); summarizing your business experience, work experience and educational qualifications.

Submit Notarized photocopies of Labour / Employment contracts, if applicable and Organizational chart for the enterprise(s) the principal applicant has worked with, indicating his/her place on the chart and the number of employees in each enterprise.

Submit complete report of Personal Net Worth Statement or Financial Information.

Business Experience: Applicant must have minimum of three years of full time work experience in the past five years either as an active business owner or working in a senior management role of a successful business. Business owners are given higher points in comparison to senior managers. Business owners must have at least 33 1/3% ownership to qualify for points.

Official Languages Proficiency: Applicant must have Minimum CLB/NCLC 5 in approved IRCC language. 

Education: Applicant must have Minimum Canadian high school certificate equivalent.

Age: No minimum or maximum age; however, ranking points are allocated to candidates 25 to 49 years of age.

Business Investment: Applicant must have Minimum investment is $250,000 for businesses situated in the Manitoba Capital Region. Or $150,000 if a business is situated outside of the Manitoba Capital Region.

The proposed business must create or maintain at least one job for a Canadian Citizen or a Permanent Resident in Manitoba (excluding owners of the business and/or their close relatives).

Business Research Visit: A Business Plan is required and is an integral part of the application.

Adaptability: Points will be allocated if Applicant or accompanying spouse, common law partner has CLB/NCLC 5 or higher,  have a close relative currently residing in Manitoba for more than one year, have completed a program of full-time study for at least one year at a post-secondary institution in Manitoba. OR have completed at least six months of continuous full time employment in Manitoba.

Applicant must have personal net worth of  Minimum of $500,000.

Business Performance Agreement: After an application is approved, a Business Performance Agreement (BPA) must be signed prior to the MPNP issuing you a letter of support for applying for a work permit.

Travel documents and passports : Copy of the pages of your valid passport or travel documents for you, your spouse or common-law partner and your dependent children,  showing:  the passport number; date of issue and expiry; the photo, name, date and place of birth, pages showing any amendments in name, date of birth, expiration, etc.

 Proof of language proficiency (Original).

Applicant must provide a Letter of Support with your application. The Letter of Support will be given to you by the designed entity which is investing in your business proposal (Original).

 Identity and Civil Documents: Applicant must provide the documents for you and your spouse or common-law partner: Birth certificates; Marriage certificate(s), final divorce or annulment certificate(s). Death certificate for former spouse(s) or common-law partner(s), etc.

Children's Information (if applicable) - Children's birth certificates (which name their parents),  Adoption papers, Proof of full custody for children.

2 photos for each member of your family, whether accompanying or not, and yourself.

Settlement Funds (current bank certification letter or evidence of savings balance; or fixed or time deposit statements).

Gather all supporting documents and information in the order identified in the Document Checklist.

Applicant must have a qualifying business/activity he is conducting.

Applicant must get a letter of support from a designated organization.

Applicant must meet the language requirements.

Applicant must bring enough money to settle.
