The Cyprus Digital Nomad Visa allows nationals of non-EU and non-EEA countries that work remotely using telecommunication technology to stay temporary in Cyprus, and work for an employer registered abroad or for organizations or clients outside of the Republic of Cyprus.
The government of Cyprus approved this scheme to increase the country's position as a hub for digital nomads who will benefit from the governmental offerings and help the economy grow in terms of business environment.
To apply for the Cyprus Digital Nomad Visa, you need to make an appointment through the online platform and submit the pertinent application with the documents required at the Department's offices in Nicosia within three months of arrival in order to obtain a temporary residence permit. You can also submit the necessary application if you already residing in Cyprus but under a different law.

Family members have the right to live with them for the same amount of time as the digital nomad, but they are not permitted to work or engage in other economic activities in Cyprus.
It is originally issued for a year, but you can extend it for 2 more years.
If you reside for more than 183 days or for periods which sum up to 183 days, you will be come a Cyprus Tax Resident.
