The Paraguay Permanent Residency program allows you to obtain permanent residency in Paraguay by investing $70,000 USD in the country.


To be eligible for the investor visa program, you must:


  • Be a citizen of a country that has a reciprocal visa agreement with Paraguay.
  • Invest $70,000 USD in a Paraguayan business or real estate.
  • Submit a business plan that outlines how you will use the investment to create jobs or generate economic activity in Paraguay.
  • Once you have invested the required amount, you will be granted permanent residency in Paraguay. You will also be issued a tax ID, which is required for all residents of Paraguay.


You can also acquire Permanent Residency in Paraguay if you get Temporary Resident first, and after two years apply for the Permanent Permit.

  • You need to make an investment of amount PYG 150,000,000 (≈ USD 27,500).
  • You should be of good character.
  • You should be in good health.
  • You will abide all the laws of the country.
  • You need to pay visa fee.

Which documents do I need to apply for the Paraguay Permanent Residence Investor Visa?

  • Original and photocopy of passport.
  • Original Police Clearance Certificate.
  • Original or Certified copy of Birth Certificate (if applicable).
  • Original or Certified copy of Marriage Certificate (if applicable).
  • Original Bank Reference Letter (Not older than 6 month).
  • Affidavit confirming that the applicant will abide by the laws of the country signed by a Notary Public.
  • Documents certifying company incorporation and share capital.
  • Interpol certificate issued by the regional office in Asuncion, Paraguay.
  • Life and residence Certificate issued by the jurisdictional police station.
  • Police or Court Records of the country of your country of origin.
  • Health Certificate from the country of origin or of last residence.
  • Consular tourist visa (if applicable).
