  • You need a passport valid for at least 6 months.
  • You need to enroll in an educational institute in Brazil.
  • You need to explain your itinerary.
  • You needproof of financial capability to support yourself throughout the duration of your studies.
  • You need health insurance coverage.
  • You need proof of completion of secondary education.

Which documents do I need to apply for the Student Visa (Undergraduate)?

12 Document Required

  • Visa application form.
  • Original and copies of passport.
  • 1 recent 2x2" size photo.
  • Police Clearance Certificate.
  • Explain your itinerary (when are you arriving and leaving Brazil); what is the purpose of your trip; and if it is the case, who in Brazil is inviting you.
  • Proof of enrollment indicating duration and nature of studies (does not need to be notarized).
  • Proof of financial capability to support yourself throughout the duration of your studies.
  • Proof of having been awarded a scholarship or, in its absence, please provide a copy of health insurance coverage.
  • Proof of completion of secondary education (high school or equivalent), legalized by the Consulate.
  • Proof of passing college entrance examination or another type of open selection process recognized by the Ministry of Education (MEC) for undergraduate courses in a higher education institution also recognized by MEC.
  • Copy of the Public Notice for the selection process (call for applications), which should include the minimum passing grade and the subjects assessed.
  • Certificate that you have attained the minimum required grade in each subject and that you have been approved in the selection process.
