Copy of current passport (all pages) and full copy of any previous passports.

Letter of sponsorship on headed paper from your sponsor detailing your intended role in the State and how they intend to support you in the State. You must be financially supported by the sponsoring organisation within Ireland, financial support from sources outside the state will not be accepted as part of this scheme.

Full 6 months bank statement from the sponsor.

Full 6 months bank statement from yourself (the applicant).

Audited accounts of the sponsor should be available if required by the immigration authorities.

Police Clearance Certificate (not more than three months old) from your home country of residence.

Confirmation from your sponsor they have obtained Garda Síochána vetting for you if you will be working in a role involving children and/or vulnerable adults. If Garda Vetting is not submitted by you then there must be a clear written undertaking from the sponsoring organisation, in the sponsorship letter accompanying the application, that you will have no involvement with children or vulnerable adults during the course of your work in Ireland.

All documents submitted should be in Irish or English. Translations done should have translators approval and details on it.

Applicant must be aged 18 years old or older.

Applicant must be non EU/EEA and non-Swiss citizen.

Applicant must be offered volunteering work by an eligible organisation.

Applicant must be fully supported financially for the entire duration of stay by the organisation that is inviting to Ireland.

Applicant must be of good character and good standing, e.g. you can provide a police clearance certificate or equivalent not more than 3 months old.

Applicant must be cleared to work with children and vulnerable adults (if necessary for your role), e.g. you can provide a child clearance certificate from An Garda Síochána (this can be obtained by your sponsor prior to your arrival in Ireland).

Applicant must have medical insurance from a company authorised by the Health Insurance Authority of Ireland to cover you for the duration of your stay.

A colour copy of your entire, up to date passport. This passport must be valid for at least the duration of the permission being sought

A letter of authorisation, signed and dated by the applicant instructing that the representative may act on your behalf if someone is applying on your behalf

A contract, signed and dated by the applicant and their employer outlining the terms of employment for the period in the State, including salary (with details of any allowances, benefits-in-kind, or ‘top-ups’ itemised separately), job description and duration of time in the State

A letter from the Irish based host body confirming the offer of employment or the request for provision of services, outlining the job description, your salary in euro while in the State, and the duration of the contract

A letter of support from any State-involved Agency such as the IDA or Enterprise Ireland where applicable.

You are eligible to apply for an Atypical Working Scheme permission if you are a non-EEA national who, in certain circumstances, is required by a company/organisation based in the State to undertake work.

Where a skill shortage has been identified

To provide a specialised or high skill to an industry, business or academic institution for a short period

To facilitate a paid internship where the internship is either beneficial or integral (necessary for graduation) to the course being studied in respect of 3rd level students studying outside the State in approved/accredited institutions (medical and unpaid internships are not permissible)

As a locum doctor employed and paid by an agency – hospital sector or primary care sector (general practice)

Evidence of private medical insurance with full cover in private hospitals.

Applicants must sign an undertaking that they will abide by the restrictions imposed by the permission.

Applicant must not work in the State or establish or operate a business in the State.

Applicant must  not permitted to engage in a profession in the State.

Applicant must not receive any State benefits.

Applicant must have private medical insurance to cover the duration of my stay.

Applicant must abide by the laws of the State.

The person or organisation sponsoring the applicant presence in the State is responsible for providing applicant with accommodation and my general up-keep.

Copies of detailed and good innovative business plain.

Copies of proof of strong financial backing more than €75,000, in terms of bank statement, a business loan, business Angel/Venture Capital funding or grant from an Irish State Agency

Evidence that the money can be transferred to Ireland and converted into Euros

Statement of character from the police authority

If an existing business which you plan to relocate to Ireland, you must provide the business's most recent audited accounts 

You must Introduce a 'new or innovative' product or service in Ireland 

You need a strong financial backing of €75,000 or more, which you can provide evidence for 

You must establish and control the headquarter from Ireland

Start-up must be capable of creating 10 jobs in Ireland and releasing €1 million in sales within three to four years of starting up.

You must have start-up venture that is less than six years old.

Startup must be led by an experienced management team.

Two colour passport sized photographs not more than 6 months old.

Your current passport, at least 12 months valid after arrival in Ireland and a full copy of all previous passports.

A signed letter of application including your full contact details, reason to come to Ireland and undertaking that you will abide by the conditions of the visa.

Educational documents and evidence accounting for any gaps in your educational history.

Copy of an Electronic Transfer of Funds (ETF) to the Irish Bank of the college, showing details of the beneficiary's name, address, bank details and the same details for sender; or, a valid receipt showing that the course fees have been lodged to an approved student fees payment service e.g. the electronic fee payment service offered by Pay to Study.

Evidence that you have the ability to follow your chosen course e.g. exam results, qualifications.

Evidence that you have the capacity to fully partake in your chosen course through the medium of English and satisfy the Visa Officer in this regard.

Proof of sufficient funds to support your stay in Ireland without recourse to public funds, or the reliance on casual employment.

Private Medical Insurance (you may check with your college regarding this).

Details of previous visa refusals (if any).

You must have a valid passport, min of 12 months of validity upon arrival at Ireland.

You must submit a letter explaining the reason of this visa and your undertaking of following all conditions for it.

You must obtain a Letter of Acceptance from the institute you get enrolled at.

You must have the evidence of the payment of tuition fees of the course.

You should have the required educational documents to show in your application.

You must show evidence of your English language to prove that you are eligible in taking part in the course which will be in English.

You may be asked to provide proof of funds to sustain your stay in Ireland.

You must have a private medical insurance. Check with your college for arranging purposes.

You must have details on previous visa refusals (if any).

Copies of valid passport (like the bio page, past visas, etc)

Copies of proof of sufficient funds (Bank statement etc..)

Copies of return ticket or sufficient funds to purchase such a ticket (€1,500 with ticket, €3,000 without)

Applicant must be aged between 18 and 35, both inclusive

 Applicant must not be accompanied by dependents or family members 

Applicant must have sufficient funds for maintenance during the initial period of their stay in Ireland

Applicant must have a return ticket to home country or sufficient funds to purchase such a ticket 

Applicant must must have comprehensive health insurance in Ireland

You must submit the following documents by email to IIP&STEPapplications@justice.ie.

A completed application describing the investment opportunity you want to make. 

Supporting documentation as outlined in the guidelines, such as proof of your net worth, information on how much money you have coming in, and testimonials attesting to your moral character. 

For your chosen investment option, a business plan and executive summary.

A €1,500 electronic fund transfer is required for the application fee. There is no refund for this fee. Applications won't be processed until the whole fee is paid.

You have not been convicted of a criminal offence in any jurisdiction

You have a minimum net worth of €2 million

You have an interest in investing in one of the four eligible investment options mentioned above.

The Minister for Justice reserves the right to introduce revised guidelines, in any manner deemed necessary to ensure the most effective, accountable and transparent operation of the IIP.
