A certificate from the organization or company in Sweden and a certificate from an organization in your home country (if applicable).

Copies of the pages in your passport which show your personal information, photograph, signature, passport number, passport issuing country, the period of the passport's validity and whether you have permission to live in countries other than your country of origin.

A return ticket or other document showing that you have sufficient funds to buy one.

You must have a certificate from the organization or company in Sweden and a certificate from an organization in your home country (if applicable).

You must be able to support yourself financially whilst you are in Sweden, either with your own funds or with remuneration from an organization or association in your home country. The organization or company in Sweden may not pay you any remuneration.

You have a valid passport, with min of 3 months validity after the permit expires.

You must have a return ticket or the money to buy one.

Visa application form, completed and signed.

Copies of valid passport (like the bio page, past visas, etc.).

Proof of sufficient means of subsistence, eg. bank statements.

You must hold a return ticket or sufficient financial resources to cover its costs.

You must have sufficient financial resources (SEK 15,000) to cover expenses for duration of the stay.

You must have adequate health insurance in Sweden.

Copies of the pages in your passport that show your personal information, photograph, signature, passport number, passport issuing country, the period of the passport's validity and whether you have permission to live in countries other than your country of origin. Make sure to extend your passport if it is about to expire – you cannot obtain a work permit for longer than your passport's period of validity.

A written job offer from the host family specifying the conditions of your employment as an au pair.

A certificate of admission to Swedish studies specifying the number of hours per week you will be studying.

Printed application form (in case applying in person at the Consulate).

You must show that you have a definite interest in or use for Swedish language studies.

You must have a certificate of admission to studies in Swedish.

You must have a written job offer from a family in Sweden, indicating that you will be doing light housework for no more than 25 hours per week.

You should not bring any family members with you.

Household and studies combined must not exceed 40 hours per week.
